Through effective online data management, SCS brings suppliers, buyers, wholesalers, and distributors together to conduct business and build productive relationships in the supply chain. In addition, SCS offers data management services to buyers, wholesalers and distributors that want a central location through which to manage critical food safety, quality, and purity data. Confidential information and reports are password protected and monitored by SCS IT security.

SCS Supplier Database

Recognizing that buyers rely on food safety information to make key business decisions, the SCS Supplier Database offers around-the-clock access to food safety performance data. In addition, the database provides users with information on food quality achievements.

  • Confirm audit status: GAP / GMP / GlobalGap / TNC / HACCP / FPA.
  • Monitor audit history by supplier.
  • Sort food safety information by commodity or label.
  • Search for commodity sourcing options.
  • View products certified to be in compliance with country-of-destination requirements.
  • Identify suppliers that are certified to the Clean Food Standard.
  • Identify suppliers that are certified to be Pesticide Residue-Free.
  • Verify commitment to microbiological testing.
  • View list of products that are certified to be Organic, Transitional, or Organic Plus.

Suppliers have the opportunity to highlight food safety achievements and communicate those achievements to buyers and prospective buyers. In addition, SCS audited or certified suppliers have password protected access to their auditing/certification reports, and can request free transmittal to any buyer. Finally, suppliers can use the website to locate buyers who recognize SCS food safety audits.

Data Management

Retailers, wholesalers and distributors want access to food safety data and reports so they can confidently source commodities from high-performing suppliers. SCS offers retailers, wholesalers and distributors password protected access to their suppliers. Standard data management services can be customized depending on client needs.

In addition, SCS prepares bimonthly reports to facilitate sourcing products that are certified to be pesticide residue-free, comply with country-of-destination tolerances, meet Clean Food standards, or have achieved Antioxidant Rich™, Nutrition Rich™ or Flavor Rich™ certification. These reports are also available to SCS/NutriClean network participants.

Vendor Management

SCS Vendor Management clients have password protected access to confidential information on their co-packers/suppliers. Specifically, Vendor Management clients can:

  • Review co-packers/suppliers for food safety achievements.
  • Download customized reports.
  • Search and sort by multiple co-packer/supplier food safety criteria.
